About the role

The Operating Room Practitioner will work as a scrub practitioner and circulator, providing safe and quality patient care under the indirect supervision of a professional nurse.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, quality patient care in collaboration with the multi‑disciplinary team.
• Ensure effective peri‑operative preparation for the allocated theatre list.
• Adhere to infection prevention and control principles to mitigate clinical risks.
• Optimize utilisation of equipment and pharmaceutical stock to minimise financial risks.

Required profile

• Operating Theatre Practitioner Diploma (essential).
• No minimum experience required.

Required skills

• Aseptic technique.
• Record keeping.
• Instrument management techniques.
• Computer literacy – Microsoft Office.
• Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) protocols.
• Risk identification.
