Openstack Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an OpenStack Infrastructure Engineer to design, build and operate our OpenStack compute and storage platform. You will work within a team that values autonomy, mastery and purpose, delivering reliable hosting services to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and scale OpenStack compute and storage services.
• Operate and troubleshoot open‑source infrastructure, including Ceph distributed storage.
• Manage data‑centre hardware, networking fabric and hypervisor environments.
• Plan and execute upgrades, migrations and high‑impact infrastructure changes.
• Automate operations using Infrastructure as Code and configuration‑management tools.
• Provide end‑to‑end ownership from physical hardware to customer workloads.

Required profile

• Strong Linux systems administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Deep understanding of data‑centre hardware, power, cooling and reliability.
• Solid networking fundamentals, including OVN, OVS, BGP, LACP and IPv4/IPv6.
• Security‑focused mindset with experience in access control and automated workflows.
• SRE approach to reduce failure probability and improve recovery times.

Required skills

• OpenStack implementation, operations or troubleshooting.
• Ceph or similar distributed storage systems.
• Linux (various distributions).
• OVN, OVS, BGP, LACP, Juniper networking equipment.
• IPv4 and IPv6 networking.
• Virtualisation technologies and cloud infrastructure at scale.
• Infrastructure as Code, configuration management and automation (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Git).
