Onshore Project Manager

About the role

Siemens Energy is creating a dedicated Onshore Project Manager position in South Africa to lead Rest of World Power Generation (MGT) projects across the Africa region. The role sits within the Global Customer Operations Project Management team and is responsible for end‑to‑end delivery, financial control, and stakeholder risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and control resources, procedures and timelines for MGT projects in Africa.
• Develop detailed project schedules, define scope and assign responsibilities.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation through to closure, ensuring milestones are met.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards such as ISO.
• Coach and delegate work to junior team members.
• Monitor and report project status, costs, timing and staffing.
• Develop and manage project budgets, oversee billing and invoicing.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Identify, analyse and resolve risks and obstacles.
• Serve as primary contact for all project stakeholders.
• Integrate vendor deliverables and lead change‑management activities.

Required profile

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management or a related field.
• Significant professional experience in general business project management, including scoping, scheduling, budgeting and risk mitigation.
• Proven ability to coach and guide other professionals.
