Oncology Roaming Pharmacist

About the role
Dis-Chem Oncology is seeking a qualified Oncology Roaming Pharmacist to support cancer patients across South Africa. The pharmacist will travel to contracted sites, ensuring timely compounding, dispensing, and administration of oncology medications while maintaining the highest standards of safety and patient care.
Key responsibilities
- Capture and claim all prescriptions accurately and promptly to enable same‑day medication preparation.
- Coordinate patient levy collection and invoicing before medication release.
- Ensure required stock is delivered to sites at least one day prior to treatment.
- Compound patient medication according to the doctor’s script and product insert, adhering to service level agreements.
- Maintain proper storage conditions, waste disposal, and consumable charging in line with GPP and South African Pharmacy Council guidelines.
- Monitor stock levels, apply FEFO principles, and report short‑dated stock to head office.
- Provide site staff with information on adverse reactions and keep doctors informed of product shortages.
Required profile
- B.Pharm qualification.
- Registered Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council.
Required skills
- Compounding.
