Office Automation & Telecoms Technician (Copier/Printer & VoIP)

About the role

Mirror Images is seeking an experienced Office Automation and Telecoms Technician to provide on‑site support for printers, copiers and telephony systems across the Johannesburg Northern Suburbs. The successful candidate will work independently, travelling to client locations to diagnose, repair and maintain equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and service HP, Sharp and Konica Minolta printers and copiers.
• Perform routine maintenance, part replacements and driver installations.
• Install and configure printers, scanners, drivers and print‑management solutions.
• Set up printer network settings (IP, gateway, DNS, subnet mask) and conduct basic LAN troubleshooting.
• Assist with installation, configuration and maintenance of PABX and VoIP systems, including Yeastar P‑Series/S‑Series and 3CX platforms.
• Configure IP handsets, extensions and basic call routing; support SIP trunk setup.
• Provide basic CCTV installation and maintenance when required.
• Complete accurate service reports and job cards after each visit.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a printer/copier technician with hands‑on work on HP, Sharp and Konica Minolta devices.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• HP, Sharp and Konica Minolta printer/copier servicing.
• Networking fundamentals – LAN, switches, routers, IP addressing.
• PABX and VoIP configuration (Yeastar P‑Series/S‑Series, 3CX, SIP trunk).
• CCTV installation and configuration.
• CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications (advantageous).
