Occupational Health Nursing Practitioner

About the role

The Occupational Health Nursing Practitioner will join Life Health Solutions to deliver high‑quality occupational health services at a client site in Middelburg, Mpumalanga. Reporting to the Business Manager and working closely with the on‑site Occupational Medical Practitioner, the role ensures compliance, employee wellness, and effective medical surveillance.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain an on‑site occupational and primary health programme, including examinations and tests according to the annual Medical Surveillance Matrix.
• Provide first‑line emergency treatment and coordinate in‑service training for qualified First Aiders.
• Identify, refer, and follow up employees with abnormal results, illnesses, or injuries, and advise on fitness to work.
• Assist the OMP in trending medical surveillance data, risk assessments, and reporting of occupational health hazards.
• Compile and submit accurate monthly reports and manage clinic stock within budget.
• Ensure compliance with professional, ethical, and quality standards, including COID/RMA administration for work‑related injuries.

Required profile

• Qualified Occupational Health Nurse with relevant registration.
• Proven experience in occupational health service delivery.
• Ability to work independently on‑site and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong organisational skills for reporting, stock management, and audit participation.
