Nurse Practitioner – Hospital at Night (Band 6)

About the role

The Hospital at Night team at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary is seeking a Band 6 Nurse Practitioner to join a permanent, night‑focused service. You will work primarily across three night shifts per week, with occasional day duties for meetings and induction support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient‑centred care overnight, including managing deteriorating patients and responding to clinical emergencies.
• Clerk unscheduled patients and support multidisciplinary decision‑making.
• Offer managerial support to the Senior Healthcare Support Worker team.
• Participate in clinical supervision and contribute to the development of advanced practice skills.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Relevant acute post‑registration experience.
• Motivation to undertake training for a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Clinical Practice.
