About the role

The Night Nurse Manager will lead clinical nursing operations during the night shift at a hospital in Cape Town. This senior nursing role ensures safe, cost‑effective, high‑quality patient care while coordinating a multidisciplinary team and aligning with the hospital’s clinical governance strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the allocated nursing budget for night operations.
• Identify and implement operational efficiencies to support sustainability and growth.
• Deliver safe, evidence‑based patient care in line with clinical governance.
• Evaluate nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes.
• Promote health and wellbeing of patients and staff.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and standard precautions.
• Lead group quality initiatives and monitor compliance.

Required profile

• A relevant nursing qualification (B Cur Degree or equivalent) or a related management qualification.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse.
• Compliance with the SANC code and applicable health‑care legislation.
• Clinical expertise within your specialty.

• Intermediate computer proficiency.
