Night Auditor – 5‑Star Hotel in Cape Town

About the role

The luxury 5‑star hotel in Cape Town is seeking a professional Night Auditor to join its Front Office team. This role blends guest service with financial auditing to ensure seamless overnight operations and exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, manage check‑ins and check‑outs, and handle enquiries or complaints.
• Perform nightly audit procedures, reconcile guest accounts, revenue and payment transactions.
• Prepare daily financial and operational reports for management.
• Process cash, credit‑card and account transactions accurately.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, security and maintenance teams.
• Maintain accurate guest records in the property management system.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies and deliver service to 5‑star standards.

Required profile

• Grade 12/Matric or a relevant diploma/certificate.
• Previous Night Auditor or Front Office experience in a 5‑star hotel.
• Experience with Opera, Protel or similar PMS systems.
• Strong numerical, financial and reconciliation abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions and maintain attention to detail.
• Professional appearance and willingness to work night shifts, weekends and public holidays.
