Network & VoIP Engineer (NOC)

About the role

Our client, a high‑availability ISP, is looking for an experienced Network & VoIP Engineer to join their Network Operations Centre (NOC). The senior‑level position will ensure the stability, performance, scalability and security of core routing, switching and voice platforms while providing technical leadership to junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, manage and optimise ISP network performance using tools such as LibreNMS, PRTG and The Dude.
• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot enterprise and ISP routing environments, including BGP, OSPF, MPLS and VLANs.
• Administer and support the PortaOne VoIP platform, handling SIP signalling, RTP streams, call quality, voice routing and trunking.
• Maintain network hardware across multiple data‑centre sites, perform hardware lifecycle management and install new equipment.
• Provision and activate fibre and connectivity services, configure circuits with internal and third‑party providers, and validate new services.
• Respond to alerts and outages, perform root‑cause analysis, resolve Tier 3 escalations and participate in after‑hours support.
• Produce and maintain documentation, manage change control and support continuous network optimisation.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in network operations and VoIP engineering within an ISP or telecom environment.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and capacity to handle high‑pressure incident management.

Required skills

• Network monitoring tools: LibreNMS, PRTG, The Dude.

• Switching and VLAN configuration.
• VoIP platforms: PortaOne, SIP signalling, RTP media streams.
• Voice routing, trunking and call‑quality troubleshooting.

• Incident management, root‑cause analysis and change control.
