National Key Account Manager

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic National Key Account Manager to develop and implement account plans for key customers in South Africa, driving sales, service and relationship objectives. The role will involve close collaboration with internal stakeholders and national travel to build strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify customers’ priorities and champion internal projects to improve service and account management.
• Create and develop sales plans aligned with channel strategy and communicate them to all stakeholders.
• Oversee implementation of account plans, negotiate trading terms and balance volume, product mix and profitability.
• Manage account wiring to ensure the right people are engaged across customers and business functions.
• Drive new product launch plans within accounts to meet product leadership targets.
• Facilitate information exchange between customers, sales teams and other departments to maintain supply‑demand balance.
• Develop key relationships to achieve high customer intimacy and insight.
• Adopt a balanced construction products approach to account management, aligning resources and priorities.

Required profile

• Minimum Matric and a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
• At least five years of experience in key account management.
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Commercial awareness with ability to travel nationally.

• Data analysis skills.
• Experience with SAP (advantageous).
