Mobile Application Developer

About the role

This full‑time Mobile Application Developer role is based in Cape Town and operates on a hybrid schedule, combining on‑site days with remote work. You will design, build, and maintain mobile applications that connect to Compose Finance’s stablecoin and fiat transaction infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain iOS or cross‑platform mobile applications.
• Implement new features and optimise performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and technical issues.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver secure, user‑friendly experiences.
• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews.
• Maintain mobile security best practices and contribute to technical documentation.

Required profile

• Strong experience in Mobile Application Development for iOS or cross‑platform environments.
• Proficiency in software architecture, API integration, and performance optimisation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Fintech, payments or cryptocurrency experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with secure coding, mobile security and data‑protection standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting and communicate clearly in English.
