Millwright – Manufacturing Maintenance

About the role

The Millwright will be responsible for maintaining and improving manufacturing equipment across the plant, including production machinery and warehouse systems. This full‑time, on‑site position requires a proactive, solutions‑driven individual who can work under pressure, be on call and attend weekends when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, installations and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
• Execute and continuously improve the planned maintenance system and keep technical documentation up to date.
• Diagnose and resolve automation issues, including PLC, VSD, VFD fault finding and AC/DC drive configuration.
• Support capital and non‑capital projects, including equipment commissioning and job costing.
• Prepare material requisitions, maintain accurate job cards and report daily maintenance activities.
• Ensure all work complies with SABS/SANS 10142‑01‑2012 standards and includes certificates of compliance where required.

Required profile

• Red Seal qualified Millwright with an N4 Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of combined mechanical and electrical experience.
• Strong background in hydraulics, pneumatics and PLC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and maintenance management systems.
• Willingness to be on call and work weekends as required.
