Millwright – Boilerhouse (Harrismith)

About the role

Nestlé SA is seeking an experienced Millwright to join its Harrismith factory. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting and repair of a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment supporting the plant’s utility systems.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance on boilers, compressors, refrigeration plants, water treatment systems, generators and related infrastructure.
• Install, service, repair and commission new and existing equipment, including ammonia refrigeration, RO plants, chlorination, wastewater and UPS systems.
• Perform fault finding, set controllers, pressure and temperature transmitters, and adjust valves.
• Conduct equipment inspections, maintain accurate maintenance records and report hazards.
• Participate in risk assessments, shutdowns and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Support the training of apprentices.

Required profile

• Minimum N3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a Millwright Trade Test.
• 3‑5 years of industrial utilities maintenance experience.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and read drawings and P&IDs.
