About the role

The Milling Machineshop Manager leads a diverse production team, ensuring efficient operation of the milling shop while upholding quality, safety, and company values. This role balances people development with rigorous production planning to meet operational targets.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, develop, and mentor shop personnel, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
• Plan, schedule, and assign work, monitor progress, and adjust resources to meet production targets.
• Maintain equipment readiness, coordinate repairs, and stay informed on new machinery and techniques.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, reduce scrap and re‑work, and report results to the Operations Manager.
• Promote a safe, clean workplace by enforcing health and safety legislation and good housekeeping practices.
• Communicate production plans and status with other managers and project teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a manufacturing or machining shop.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, discipline, and motivate staff.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a proactive attitude toward change.
