Mid‑Senior Full‑Stack Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mid‑Senior Full‑Stack Software Engineer to join our development team in Durbanville, Cape Town. You will own features from specification through to production, working across our React/TypeScript front‑end, Node.js/Express back‑end and PostgreSQL database.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain web‑application features using React 18, Vite and TailwindCSS.
• Implement server‑side logic, REST APIs and middleware with Node.js and Express.
• Write efficient SQL queries and manage data in PostgreSQL 16.
• Integrate third‑party services such as PayFast and transactional email providers.
• Handle CI/CD pipelines, deployments and monitoring of production releases.
• Participate in code reviews, Git‑based collaboration and continuous improvement of the codebase.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Proven ability to ship full‑stack features end‑to‑end.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, especially when discussing technical trade‑offs.
• Self‑motivated learner who stays up‑to‑date with the JavaScript/React/Node ecosystem.
• Reliable, accountable and proactive in flagging blockers.
