Mid-Level IT Security Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Mid-Level IT Security Engineer to join our Managed Services Provider team. You will support a diverse portfolio of U.S.-based clients, delivering security operations, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, incident response, and cloud security services.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts and incidents across client environments.
• Manage and maintain security tools such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, firewalls, email security, and vulnerability management platforms.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and develop remediation plans.
• Assist with incident response activities, including threat containment, eradication, recovery, and post‑incident reporting.
• Configure and manage Microsoft 365 security solutions, including Defender, Conditional Access, and Identity Protection.
• Implement and support cloud security best practices on Microsoft Azure and other platforms.
• Review security logs, identify suspicious activity, and escalate threats as needed.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, procedures, and technical runbooks.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and support teams to ensure proper implementation of security controls.
• Participate in client meetings and provide technical guidance on security matters.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, or systems engineering with a strong security focus.
• Experience working in an MSP or multi‑client environment.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, and ISO 27001.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
