Mid-Level Bookkeeper (Trust & Business Accounting)

About the role

IGrow Wealth Investments Group of Companies is seeking a dynamic Mid-Level Bookkeeper to join its Durbanville office. You will manage both business and trust financial records, ensuring compliance with Legal Practice Council (LPC) and SARS regulations while supporting month‑end and year‑end processes.

Key responsibilities

• Process and allocate daily business and trust transactions, maintaining general and subsidiary ledgers.
• Perform daily and monthly trust reconciliations, monitor shortages, and prepare reports for annual trust audits.
• Handle supplier invoices, customer receipts, and business banking transactions; prepare creditor/debtor reconciliations and payment schedules.
• Execute daily and monthly bank reconciliations for both business and trust accounts, resolving outstanding items.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, capture invoices, prepare payment batches, and raise invoices.

Required profile

• Diploma or Certificate in Bookkeeping, Accounting or Finance (National Diploma in Accounting preferred).
• 3–5 years proven bookkeeping experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Experience with attorney trust accounting and preparing information for trust audits is advantageous.
• Strong numerical accuracy, high integrity, and ability to work independently under pressure.
