About the role
homechoice is a leading South African homeware retailer. As a Merchandise Planner you will use insight‑led solutions to analyse sales and other metrics, creating realistic sales and buy plans that delight customers looking for quality and value.
Key responsibilities
- You analyse sales and metrics to develop realistic sales and buy plans.
- You collaborate with buyers to deliver products aligned with category strategies, price points, sales and margin targets.
- You forecast and re‑project sales, margin and stock to maximise profitability.
- You manage supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with strict service level agreements.
- You work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver big ideas that align with the company’s DNA.
- You identify sales opportunities and create product offers that meet customer needs.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Science, BCom or BSc.
- 3‑5 years of retail experience (e‑commerce preferred but not required).
- Competency in MS Office packages, particularly Excel.
