About the role
The Mopani District Municipality is seeking qualified individuals to serve as members of its Municipal Planning Tribunal. Members will adjudicate land development and land use applications under the Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act.
Key responsibilities
- Determine land development and land use applications in accordance with the Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act.
- Serve as a member of the Mopani District Municipal Planning Tribunal for a five‑year term.
Required profile
- Leadership qualities combined with knowledge and experience in spatial planning, land use management or related fields.
- Professional background in town planning, civil engineering, transport engineering, transport economics, legal or environmental management.

- Remuneration in line with Treasury Regulations for commissions and committees of inquiry.
- Reimbursement of travelling expenses and other costs related to tribunal activities.
