Medical Administrator

About the role

The Medical Administrator provides essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of a healthcare practice. Acting as a professional point of contact for doctors, patients and service providers, the role requires attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general administrative support to the practice.
• Manage correspondence, emails and telephone enquiries.
• Liaise professionally with doctors, patients and external service providers.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Schedule appointments and manage diaries as needed.
• Assist with data capture and updating information on internal systems.
• Ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately and timely.
• Support day‑to‑day operational requirements of the team.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and company information.
• Perform ad‑hoc administrative duties as required.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• Relevant administration qualification is advantageous.
• Previous administration experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Exposure to the healthcare industry is a plus.
• Experience in a customer‑facing or professional environment is advantageous.
