Mechatronics Engineer

About the role

The Mechatronics Engineer will support existing manufacturing facilities and new automation projects. This role combines mechanical, electrical, and software expertise to maintain and enhance smart manufacturing equipment such as robots and automated guided systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead assigned mechatronics projects in line with divisional goals.
• Maintain spares inventory and perform timely repairs on plant equipment.
• Back‑up and manage PLC and software programs for all facilities.
• Ensure rapid fault response, maximize machine uptime, and conduct scheduled maintenance.
• Support all departments with mechatronics needs and develop new facilities.
• Wire PLC panels, program PLCs and other control software.
• Assist in upgrading existing systems and document all activities promptly.
• Manage network infrastructure, production IT systems, servers, and databases.
• Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to budget constraints.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Mechatronics or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years of experience in PLC and computer programming environments, including 1‑2 years of software/electronic development.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and basic electronics.
• Project management capability.

Required skills

• PLC programming (RS Logix 500, RS Logix 5000, Festo FST, Festo Codesys).
• Robot programming (Fanuc, Yaskawa, Denso).
• Software development: Delphi, LabVIEW, C#, ASP.NET.
• Windows Server administration and IT infrastructure.
• Database development and administration (MySQL preferred).
• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
