Mechanical Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer will lead the planning, coordination and supervision of mechanical projects, ensuring that conceptual, basic and detailed engineering are executed to the highest standards. The role involves technical oversight of mechanical works, installations, and testing phases.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise the execution of assigned mechanical projects.
• Develop and approve engineering concepts, basic designs and detailed designs.
• Create and monitor project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of each phase.
• Control project documentation, communications and technical records.
• Inspect mounting, installation and testing processes to verify compliance with specifications.
• Monitor operational performance of installed equipment during testing and warranty periods.
• Provide technical advice and training to end‑users on operation and maintenance.
• Evaluate technical and economic offers in tender processes and recommend selections.
• Ensure compliance with company safety, health and quality standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or Electrical or Civil Engineering).
• Minimum six (6) years of experience in project management within engineering.
• Knowledge of the PMBOK guide and project management best practices.
• Experience in budgeting, cost control and machinery management.
• Proven ability to supervise conceptual, basic and detailed engineering work.
