Mechanical Engineer

About the role

HENSOLDT South Africa is looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join its Optronics Engineering team. You will support the development, industrialisation and lifecycle management of advanced mechanical products and systems, working in multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise mechanical products and assemblies using engineering principles and lifecycle methodologies.
• Plan and execute engineering activities, defining scope, deliverables, schedules and resource needs.
• Lead product industrialisation, manufacturing support and verification activities.

Required profile

• BEng in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical product design, development and industrialisation.
• Proven experience with CAD modelling, engineering simulation and design analysis tools.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary project teams.
