Material Controller – 12‑Month Contract in Kathu

About the role

Scatec is seeking a Material Controller to join its renewable‑energy project in Kathu, Northern Cape. The role is a 12‑month contract focused on managing all material flows on‑site, ensuring accurate documentation, and supporting the construction schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Organise storage and lay‑down areas in line with the Site Manager’s instructions.
• Collect and record shipping documentation, feeding information into the D365 database.
• Receive, inspect, store and preserve delivered materials, updating the key360 system.
• Initiate insurance and vendor claims for damaged or non‑conforming items.
• Maintain a quarantine area for damaged material and ensure full traceability.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Logistics or Material Management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in material management on construction projects.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to work in a changing environment.

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) data entry and reporting.
• key360 material tracking system.
