Master Technician – Toyota Diagnostic Specialist

About the role

Halfway Toyota and Lexus in George, Western Cape is seeking a qualified Master Technician to lead diagnostic and repair activities for Toyota vehicles. The role involves overseeing complex repairs, ensuring high‑quality service, and maintaining workshop standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide oversight and guidance for difficult and technical repairs.
• Deliver competent technical, diagnostic, and repair services.
• Assume total responsibility for all aspects of the workshop operations.
• Diagnose problem vehicles using Toyota‑specific equipment.
• Disseminate technical bulletins received from Toyota.
• Apply the principle of “Fix it Right First Time”.

Required profile

• Matric qualification and a valid driver’s licence.
• Qualified trade‑tested technician.
• Certified Toyota Diagnostic Technician with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, time‑management and administrative abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain a friendly, professional attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Toyota diagnostic equipment.
• Experience using vehicle diagnostic tools and interpreting technical data.
