Marketing & Sales Manager – Pork

About the role

Winelands Pork, a high‑throughput pork abattoir and processing operation in the Western Cape, is seeking a senior Marketing & Sales Manager to own sales growth, market positioning and brand strategy. You will lead both the marketing function and a branded retail butchery outlet, driving volume, margin and brand equity across local, national and export markets.

Key responsibilities

• Drive large‑scale sales of pork carcasses and products (fresh, boxed fresh and frozen) across wholesale, retail and corporate channels.
• Manage and grow a branded retail butchery outlet, overseeing stock, pricing, promotions and profitability.
• Secure and manage supply agreements with major retailers and food‑industry clients.
• Develop and implement marketing campaigns (digital, in‑store and traditional) to increase volume, margin and brand awareness.
• Lead brand management and digital marketing, including social media and content planning.
• Use data and reporting to track KPIs and continuously improve sales and marketing performance.

Required profile

• At least 10 years’ experience in the meat industry, with strong exposure to pork, retail/butchery, marketing and sales.
• Proven track record in growing pork sales and managing key accounts.
• Strong commercial acumen and confidence working across both retail and corporate environments.
• Hands‑on leader comfortable on the shop floor and at strategic level, with a long‑term outlook in the pork industry.
