Marketing Manager – Food & Culture Market

About the role

Time Out Market is seeking a dynamic Marketing Manager to lead brand‑building initiatives, drive footfall, and enhance the visitor experience across its Cape Town location. You will own the full marketing mix, from digital campaigns to public relations, ensuring the market’s cultural and culinary offerings reach a wider audience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies aligned with business goals.
• Manage public relations, press releases, and relationships with media, influencers and industry leaders.
• Oversee social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) and create engaging content.
• Plan and coordinate entertainment, events and cultural programming.
• Run digital campaigns covering SEO, SEM, paid media, email automation and partnerships.
• Collaborate with concessionaires to support their promotional activities.
• Ensure all marketing materials adhere to brand guidelines.
• Work with the CRM team to boost engagement, retention and lifetime value.
• Monitor performance metrics, report on KPIs and use data to refine future campaigns.
• Assist in incident and crisis response to protect the brand.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, PR or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of proven experience in marketing management.
• Passion for food, culture and hospitality.
• Strong analytical mindset and data‑driven decision making.
