Marketing Manager – Commercial

About the role

Our client, a leading fashion retail company in Cape Town, is seeking a senior Marketing Manager – Commercial to drive growth across its Cellular, Financial Services and additional portfolios. This role blends strategic thinking, data‑driven execution and commercial focus to turn customer insight into measurable results.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that increase market share, revenue, customer acquisition and brand awareness.
• Lead high‑impact campaigns, product launches and customer‑engagement initiatives across multiple portfolios.
• Drive acquisition, retention and loyalty through customer‑centric, data‑driven approaches.
• Grow and optimise digital channels while introducing innovative solutions and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to align marketing activities with business objectives and maximise ROI.
• Lead strategic projects that enhance customer value and operational efficiency.
• Manage and develop a high‑performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation.
• Oversee marketing budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and maximum return on investment.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of marketing principles, brand management, market research and product marketing.
• Commercial and sales acumen with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and customer loyalty.
• Experience in digital marketing, social media, email and content marketing.
• Financial management skills including budget planning, cost control and ROI analysis.
• Ability to analyse data, track KPIs and translate insights into performance improvements.
