Marketing Data Engineer - Ad Tech (US hours)

About the role

We are seeking a Marketing Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain the data pipelines that power our client’s advertising dashboards, pacing outputs, and recurring reports. This remote position works on US business hours and partners closely with dashboard developers and programmatic leads.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and sustain API/ETL ingestion processes from DSPs, ad servers, and other advertising platforms.
• Normalize campaign data and manage metric definitions used across dashboards and reports.
• Administer cloud‑warehouse structures and handle client data deliveries as needed.
• Reconcile pipeline outputs against raw platform exports and investigate any material variances.
• Implement automated data‑quality checks, alerts, and monitoring for pipeline and dashboard health.
• Manage service‑account and API credential workflows within client environments.
• Support platform migrations and rebuild data integrations without disrupting reporting.
• Collaborate with Dashboard Developers and Programmatic Leads on definitions, mapping, and release validation.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering with production ETL/API responsibilities.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in at least one production programming language such as Python.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake).
• Proven ability to reconcile data across multiple source systems and design data‑quality controls.
• Capability to own production pipelines, troubleshoot failures, and document data definitions clearly.
