Market Developer

About the role

As a Market Developer you will drive sustainable growth of Mukuru’s Wallet and Value‑Added Services (VAS) business. You will expand market presence, unlock new opportunities and strengthen partnerships to increase adoption of digital financial solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead customer acquisition, retention and usage growth for Wallet & VAS products in assigned markets.
• Act as the Wallet & VAS ambassador, building strong visibility and share of mind.
• Train sales and marketing teams on value‑based selling and ensure clear communication of product benefits.
• Coordinate cross‑functional strategic projects, track progress and deliver results on time and within scope.
• Identify and develop new products, services and partnership opportunities, preparing business cases and negotiating agreements.
• Support budgeting, pricing strategy and partner relationship management.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of business development experience, preferably in financial services.
• Knowledge of payments, remittances, digital financial services and related regulatory environments.
• Understanding of B2C and C2C sales and marketing processes and commercial agreements.
• Grade 12 education and a relevant tertiary qualification.
