Maritime Learnership – Durban & Cape Town

About the role

MSC offers a 12‑month learnership programme in Durban (and Cape Town) that combines classroom study with hands‑on training in the maritime sector. Participants will work towards nationally recognised certificates while gaining practical experience at MSC.

Key responsibilities

• Attend theoretical modules and complete assessments for each certification phase.
• Participate in on‑site training and operational activities at MSC facilities.
• Maintain required attendance, conduct and performance standards.
• Collaborate with mentors and fellow learners to apply learned concepts.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) with a minimum C aggregate, including Mathematics.
• Age under 25 years.
• Hardworking, reliable, methodical with good communication skills.
• Willingness to remain in the assigned region for the full duration of the learnership.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
