Management Accountant – Two Oceans Commercial

About the role

Support the finance function by managing creditors and debtors' reconciliations, processing payments and collections, and maintaining accurate financial records. Ensure timely bank, VAT, and general ledger reconciliations while assisting with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.

Key responsibilities

• Perform creditor reconciliations, payments, claims handling and resolve queries.
• Conduct debtor reconciliations, process statements, collections and address queries.
• Reconcile bank accounts and ensure payments follow internal controls.
• Manage supplier relationships, resolve vendor enquiries and maintain operational continuity.
• Prepare and finalise financial statements (trial balance, income statement, balance sheet) and management reporting packs.
• Process monthly journals, VAT reconciliations and perform expense analysis.
• Assist with internal and external audits, compliance checks and month‑end deadlines.
• Maintain filing and audit trails for administrative purposes.

Required profile

• Grade 12 with a relevant tertiary qualification in bookkeeping, accounting or finance (degree or 3‑year accounting diploma).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting environment, preferably in FMCG or import industry.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Business Central, Sage Evolution or Oracle.
• Strong communication, time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle large volumes of financial data.
