Maintenance Technician

About the role

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its Production department in Midrand. The role focuses on ensuring reliable operation of plant equipment through mechanical and electrical maintenance activities. The successful candidate will support both preventive and corrective maintenance programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical fault-finding and repairs on production equipment.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks according to schedule.
• Conduct equipment inspections and condition monitoring.
• Use the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to record work orders and maintenance history.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and OEM documentation to guide maintenance actions.
• Ensure compliance with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards during all tasks.
• Support root cause analysis investigations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in mechanical/electrical maintenance within a production environment.
• Ability to work safely and adhere to SHEQ and GMP requirements.
• Strong attention to detail when interpreting technical documentation.
