Maintenance Team Leader

About the role

The Maintenance Team Leader will be based in the Supply Chain Manufacturing area and report to the Maintenance and Utilities Engineer. This position is responsible for ensuring the reliability and optimisation of electronic process control systems across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain electronic process control hardware and software, including loop checks and calibration.
• Oversee installation of new process control systems to meet company standards.
• Review and optimise process control philosophies and programmes.
• Audit control programmes and ensure changes follow ISO procedures.
• Produce and maintain documentation such as installation drawings, P&IDs, loop identification and tagging.
• Coordinate machine output to improve overall line performance.
• Manage access control, fault finding and backup of electronic systems.
• Participate in Minibuses Operating System activities and perform administrative duties.
• Train and coach production controllers, artisans, machine controllers and operators.

Required profile

• Recognised N6 Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Certificate and trade test certificate.
• Minimum 5 years of practical experience in maintenance, with at least 3 years managing a team.
• Knowledge of bottling equipment and FMCG environment (advantageous).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently under pressure.

• Knowledge of bottling equipment.
• Computer literacy: SAP, MS Word, MS Excel.
