Maintenance Handyman

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Maintenance Handyman to join our hospitality property team in the Western Cape. The role involves keeping the building, facilities and grounds safe, functional and presentable for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance across the property.
• Log daily maintenance tasks and complete assigned repair requests promptly.
• Carry out plumbing, electrical, painting, varnishing, tiling and carpentry repairs.
• Repair and maintain door locks, replace light fittings and bulbs, and fix minor building issues.
• Assist with larger refurbishment projects as needed.
• Undertake any other maintenance tasks required to uphold property standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a maintenance worker or handyman.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting and general repairs.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Physically fit and capable of manual tasks.
• Good communication, time‑management skills and ability to work independently.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and reside within the local area.
