About the role
We are seeking a qualified Machinist to join our clothing manufacturing team at Prestige Clothing in Maitland. The role involves operating a range of sewing machines to produce high-quality garments.
Key responsibilities
- Operate plain and overlocking machines as well as multi-needle equipment.
- Perform buttonhole stitching, attach collars, zippers, waistbands, plackets and pockets.
Required profile
- Qualified on a plain & overlocking machine with five or more skills.
- Qualified on five sewing machines.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the NBC clothing industry.
- Proven track record operating a variety of sewing machines.
Required skills
- Plain overlocking machine operation.
- Multi-needle sewing.
- Buttonhole sewing.
- Collar making and attachment.
- Zipper installation.
- Waistband creation and attachment.
- Placket making.
- Pocket attachment.
