Machine Operator

About the role

We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our Cape Town production team. The role supports manufacturing excellence by operating equipment, maintaining the workstation, and ensuring product quality and schedule adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Manufacturing Excellence (ME) pillar tools and standardized work processes.
• Perform shift handovers, maintain the operator workstation, and execute autonomous maintenance tasks.
• Inspect, clean, lubricate and report equipment abnormalities.
• Sanitize the line (CIP) according to SOPs and keep the production and storage areas organized.
• Maintain stock of packaging materials and identify problems, notifying Process Artisan or maintenance as needed.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with Maths & Physics.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a machine operator in an FMCG environment.
• Technical courses (N4, N5 or N6) and experience on food & beverage packaging lines are advantageous.
• Ability to operate a PC and perform basic math calculations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and in teams.
