Logistics Specialist

About the role

The Logistics Specialist will coordinate and manage inbound and outbound logistics operations, ensuring efficient and cost‑effective transportation, warehousing and distribution of equipment, parts and materials while complying with regulatory and company standards. The role involves liaising with suppliers, freight forwarders, clearing agents and transporters to guarantee smooth delivery processes. The specialist will also monitor shipment schedules, resolve delays, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage inbound and outbound logistics operations, including imports and exports.
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, clearing agents, and transporters to ensure smooth delivery processes.
• Monitor shipment schedules and proactively resolve delays or disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, documentation, and import/export requirements.
• Manage inventory movement between warehouses and project sites.
• Track and optimize transportation costs and logistics efficiency.
• Maintain accurate logistics records, reports, and documentation.
• Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and operations teams to align supply chain activities.
• Oversee delivery performance and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics function.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain, preferably in the industrial/heavy equipment sector.
• Basic knowledge of the earthmoving/yellow machinery industry.
• Commitment to confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
