Logistics Scheduler

About the role

Sasol is seeking a Logistics Scheduler to transform daily delivery and stock movement requirements into optimized transportation schedules for its chemical product groups. The role ensures demand is planned, scheduled, and executed to maintain high customer service levels and on‑time, in‑full (OTIF) performance.

Key responsibilities

• Offer and allocate loads to transporters using the selection matrix.
• Maintain accountability for the Logistics Cockpit and develop daily distribution schedules.
• Conduct dynamic rescheduling and re‑planning to adapt to market or business changes.
• Implement corrective controls with transporters to achieve schedule adherence.
• Monitor schedule execution, override scheduling tool outputs when necessary, and ensure compliance with safety and business rules.
• Identify and propose improvements to business and scheduling rules.
• Utilize SAP TM (LCC software) and ensure YTT (Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow) parameters are addressed daily.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of relevant university education.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics scheduling, preferably within chemicals or energy sectors.
• Proven experience with SAP ERP and logistics planning processes.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
