Logistics and Purchasing Coordinator

About the role

Our client, a leading manufacturing and apparel company in Randburg, Johannesburg, is seeking a Logistics and Purchasing Coordinator to manage the end‑to‑end flow of goods and support procurement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate transportation, storage, and distribution of goods.
• Prepare and manage shipping documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with suppliers, transport providers, and internal departments.
• Track shipments, resolve delays or disruptions, and maintain accurate logistics records.
• Analyse logistics data to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Support procurement and demand‑planning processes and assist the department manager with purchasing tasks.
• Identify and implement process improvements in logistics operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in logistics or supply‑chain roles.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and customs procedures.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
