About the role
Nestlé is seeking a Local Strategic Buyer to join its procurement team in Bryanston. The role focuses on developing and executing sourcing strategies for locally managed categories, ensuring alignment with Nestlé’s standardized procurement model.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, validate and communicate sourcing strategies for locally managed categories (NiM level) using Nestrade tools and templates.
- Perform supplier market, category and supply‑risk analyses to build total cost of ownership (TCO) insights.
- Lead negotiation events to secure competitive contracts and commercial agreements.
- Manage the implementation of new or changed items/services, P2P channel management and onboarding of new suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with Nestlé’s corporate business principles, procurement policies and supplier code.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate category plans into local budgets and price‑planning processes.
- Partner with SRM experts to conduct regular contract SLA reviews and drive post‑award improvements.
- Maintain accurate contract records, purchasing info records and master data in SAP.
Required profile
- Degree in Business or Supply Chain.
- 3‑5 years of experience as a Strategic Buyer in FMCG or manufacturing environments.
- Proven track record of delivering sourcing strategies that generate competitive advantage.
- Strong project‑leadership and risk‑management capabilities.
Required skills
- Experience with SAP procurement modules.
