Litigation Executive

About the role

Alpha is looking for motivated LLB graduates to join its legal team as Litigation Executives. You will manage a litigated caseload, support fellow executives and claims handlers, and ensure cases progress within agreed Service Level Agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Draft legal documents, applications, offers, orders and directions.
• Attend telephone conferences and conduct telephone negotiations.
• Manage cases in line with SLAs, reviewing quantum and assessing general and special damages.
• Formalise case plans and liaise with third‑party solicitors, insurers, clients and lay parties.
• Manage client expectations professionally, prioritise workload and develop clear action plans.

Required profile

• LLB degree (essential).
• Minimum six months’ experience as an admitted or candidate attorney with exposure to civil litigation.
• Experience in motor vehicle accidents, Road Accident Fund claims, third‑party claims, contract law or insurance work is advantageous.
• Enthusiastic, self‑motivated and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong initiative, creative problem‑solving and a professional telephone manner.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

What we offer

• Salary package of R12 000 per month.
• Working hours: 09:00‑18:00 or 10:00‑19:00, Monday‑Friday.
• On‑site role based in Umhlanga.
