About the role

Saku Attorneys, a boutique law firm in Century City, Cape Town, is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its high‑responsibility team. The role involves managing commercial recovery and litigation matters from inception to resolution, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage litigation cases, particularly commercial recoveries and debt collection.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and notarial deeds.
• Handle conveyancing matters where applicable.
• Maintain end‑to‑end case files, ensuring compliance with court procedures and firm standards.
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients on recovery strategies.

Required profile

• Admitted attorney with a minimum of 5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong background in litigation, especially commercial recoveries or debt collection.
• Ability to work independently and manage matters without supervision.
• Excellent deadline discipline and organizational skills.
• Admission as a conveyancer is advantageous but not mandatory.
