Leisure Travel Consultant

About the role

Thompsons For Travel is looking for a Leisure Travel Consultant in Durban. The role centres on building relationships with warm leads from an established client base and designing bespoke itineraries such as island escapes and multi-city honeymoons. There is no cold calling.

Key responsibilities

• Design custom itineraries for clients, from island escapes to multi-city trips
• Work with a steady stream of warm leads from an existing client base
• Build lasting relationships and share insider travel tips
• Meet targets in a fast-paced environment

Required profile

• Proven experience in leisure or luxury travel consulting
• Travel and Tourism certificate
• Able to work flexible hours (shift work)
• Good geographical knowledge
• Ability to meet targets and attention to detail

Required skills

• GDS experience, Amadeus preferred
• Reservations process from input to output
• Reading and interpreting contracts
• Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent numeracy and literacy
