Cognia is looking for recent law graduates to join a 12‑month Legal Graduate Programme that blends traditional legal work with cutting‑edge technology and innovation. You will work on real client matters, gaining exposure to due diligence, legal operations and technology‑enabled solutions while building a solid foundation for a modern legal career.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior lawyers on real client projects across various practice areas.
• Support due‑diligence reviews, legal research and drafting of legal documents.
• Engage with legal technology tools and AI‑driven solutions to improve service delivery.
• Collaborate with global teams and contribute to cross‑border projects.
• Participate in structured training sessions and mentorship programmes.

Required profile

• Law degree from a top South African tertiary institution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Commercially minded, proactive and adaptable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
