Legal Compliance Officer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Compliance Specialist to protect and strengthen our business by identifying, assessing and reducing compliance, legal, operational and governance risks. The role goes beyond traditional monitoring, requiring partnership with business leaders to design and embed practical solutions that improve controls and reduce risk exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional legal advice and develop training materials on regulatory requirements for cross‑functional teams.
• Identify, assess and prioritise compliance, legal, operational and governance risks across the organisation.
• Partner with operational leaders to develop corrective actions, facilitate implementation, monitor completion and measure effectiveness.
• Act as a trusted advisor, integrating compliance, governance and risk management into business decision‑making.
• Draft and review policies, procedures, contracts and marketing materials to ensure legal compliance while supporting commercial objectives.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and perform detailed compliance reviews.

Required profile

• A degree in BCom, LLB or a related field (LLB advantageous).
• Strong analytical abilities with a focus on risk identification and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills to convey legal guidance and training to diverse teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence business outcomes.
