About the role

Join a dynamic finance team operating in the retail and consumer finance sector, based in Sandton. The Legal and Compliance Advisor will oversee regulatory compliance, mitigate risks, and provide strategic legal guidance in a high‑pressure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in consumer retail and finance.
• Provide expert legal advice on commercial transactions and regulatory matters.
• Develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies and frameworks to mitigate legal and financial risks.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and investigate legal matters.
• Conduct internal compliance audits and ensure adherence to laws and internal policies.
• Manage legal disputes and litigation effectively.
• Support business units by delivering practical legal solutions in a fast‑paced, pressurised environment.

Required profile

• LLB and admitted attorney.
• 3–5 years of experience in legal and compliance within a commercial organisation.
• Experience in retail, consumer finance, or supply‑chain industries is advantageous.
