Lecturer – Language Conversational Sign Language

About the role

STADIO Higher Education is seeking a part‑time Lecturer to teach Language Conversational Sign Language to BEd foundation and intermediate phase students. The appointment is fixed‑term for the second semester of 2026 and will be based at the Centurion Contact Learning Campus, with limited remote work permitted.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver two weekly classes in Language Conversational Sign Language and assess student performance.
• Utilise the learning management system to design, develop and deliver high‑quality module content.
• Contribute to curriculum design, review and the creation or improvement of learning materials.
• Perform internal moderation duties to ensure academic integrity and compliance with institutional standards.
• Provide academic support and timely communication to students and colleagues.
• Carry out administrative tasks in line with policies and SOPs, and attend meetings, workshops and committee sessions as required.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification and teaching experience in sign language or related fields.
• Experience teaching in higher‑education settings, preferably within BEd programmes.
• Ability to work on‑site at the Centurion campus while managing occasional remote responsibilities.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
