Leasing Manager Trainee – Commercial Property

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious graduate to join our leasing team as a Leasing Manager Trainee. The role provides structured on‑the‑job training and mentorship, preparing you to become a Commercial Property Leasing Manager within the retail property sector.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementing leasing strategies and achieving pre‑letting targets for retail developments.
• Research and identify prospective national, regional and independent retailers.
• Prepare leasing proposals, presentations and marketing materials.
• Coordinate meetings with prospective tenants and brokers, and manage property viewings.
• Maintain leasing databases, prospect lists and deal trackers.
• Build professional relationships with retailers, brokers and tenant representatives.
• Conduct market research on retail trends, competitor projects and rental benchmarks.
• Support development teams with tenant fit‑out programmes, opening schedules and design approvals.
• Prepare leasing reports, status updates, meeting minutes and assist with lease documentation.
• Participate in lease negotiations under senior guidance and attend site inspections and industry events.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a strong interest in commercial or retail property leasing.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct market research and evaluate tenant mix opportunities.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
